In August, an apparent AI-generated travel guide on Microsoft Start drew criticism for suggesting a visit to the Ottawa Food Bank as a tourist attraction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jeff Jones, a Senior Director at Microsoft, later clarified that the guide was created through a mix of algorithmic processes and human review rather than purely by generative AI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft\u2019s MSN also drew criticism earlier in the year when it seemed to write an incredibly poor article on the death of NBA player Brandon Hunter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyai.com\/2023\/09\/anger-over-msns-apparently-ai-generated-news-article\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">news article said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cHunter\u2019s expertise led to his choice because the 56th general decide within the 2003 NBA Draft,\u201d and that \u201che performed in 67 video games over two seasons and achieved a career-high of 17 factors in a recreation in opposition to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2004.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft isn\u2019t the only company to be outed for its AI news blunders. News network Gannett <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyai.com\/2023\/09\/newspaper-network-gannett-halts-ai-generated-reports-for-its-sites\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dismantled an AI news writing project<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> after social media users lambasted its blatantly AI-written articles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In July, a group of Redditors tricked an AI news outlet into <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyai.com\/2023\/07\/warcraft-gamers-trick-ai-news-bot-into-publishing-bogus-article\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posting a bogus article<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> about a non-existent World of Warcraft update. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This won&#8217;t be the last AI-generated news blooper, that&#8217;s for sure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft granskas f\u00f6r en enk\u00e4t som genererades av f\u00f6retagets AI och som f\u00f6ljde med en nyhetsartikel i The Guardian om en ung kvinnas d\u00f6d.
