Normalmente, este procedimento requer um internamento no hospital durante a noite e a coloca\u00e7\u00e3o de at\u00e9 20 sensores no doente.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os dados destes sensores s\u00e3o depois consolidados no \u00edndice de apneia-hipopneia (IAH), que mede o n\u00famero de apneias - inst\u00e2ncias de paragem da respira\u00e7\u00e3o - por hora para avaliar a gravidade da doen\u00e7a.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para al\u00e9m de ser lenta e inc\u00f3moda, a PSG tem os seus defeitos. Como afirmou Hyung-Sin Kim, da Universidade Nacional de Seul, na Coreia do Sul: \"Muitas pessoas dizem que n\u00e3o conseguem dormir bem durante a PSG devido ao inc\u00f3modo.
