Os g\u00e9meos digitais s\u00e3o normalmente utilizados para modelar sistemas de fabrico e cidades.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O projeto de controlo do tr\u00e1fego a\u00e9reo, denominado <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.turing.ac.uk\/research\/research-projects\/project-bluebird-ai-system-air-traffic-control\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projeto Bluebird<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00e9 uma iniciativa de 15 milh\u00f5es de libras que explora os potenciais contributos da IA para ajudar ou mesmo ultrapassar os controladores de tr\u00e1fego a\u00e9reo humanos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apoiado pelo governo brit\u00e2nico, o projeto envolve a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o do National Air Traffic Services (NATS), respons\u00e1vel pelo controlo do tr\u00e1fego a\u00e9reo no Reino Unido, bem como do Alan Turing Institute e da Universidade de Exeter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os objectivos do projeto<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O projeto Bluebird est\u00e1 em curso h\u00e1 mais de dois anos e tem por objetivo encaminhar os voos para rotas mais eficientes em termos de consumo de combust\u00edvel, reduzir os atrasos e aliviar o congestionamento, especialmente em plataformas de tr\u00e1fego intenso como o aeroporto de Heathrow, em Londres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O projeto aborda igualmente a atual escassez de controladores de tr\u00e1fego a\u00e9reo, uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o que exige um longo per\u00edodo de forma\u00e7\u00e3o de tr\u00eas anos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Richard Cannon, chefe de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o da NATS no projeto Bluebird, afirmou: \"Temos vindo a preparar-nos para isto ao longo da \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, registando os movimentos do tr\u00e1fego a\u00e9reo sobre o Reino Unido\".
