Het was deze week nog dat de Russische president Vladimir Poetin <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyai.com\/nl\/2023\/12\/wide-eyed-putin-confronted-with-an-ai-deep-fake-of-himself-in-live-qa\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">werd geconfronteerd met een AI-kopie van zichzelf<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in een persconferentie - een student gebruikte het om een punt te maken over diepe vervalsingen tijdens een live vraag- en antwoordsessie op televisie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Slowaakse verkiezingen hadden te lijden onder <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyai.com\/nl\/2023\/10\/ai-manipulated-content-threatens-election-integrity-but-what-can-we-do\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">desinformatie van sociale media<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in de laatste 48 uur voor posttijd, wanneer het de media verboden is om politiek nieuws te bespreken.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grote technologiebedrijven zoals Google en Meta beginnen beleid te implementeren voor politieke advertenties, inclusief de eis om digitale wijzigingen bekend te maken. Tot nu toe lijken deze maatregelen echter zwak, vooral in regio's die niet zoveel aandacht van deze bedrijven krijgen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AI-regulering is over het algemeen vooral Westers bepaald en ontwikkelingslanden hebben meestal geen digitale regulering en rechten, waardoor mensen en hun gegevens kunnen worden uitgebuit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoe werkt deep fake technologie?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In wezen is 'deep fake' een niet-technische term die een extreem effectieve vervalsing beschrijft, meestal gemaakt met generatieve AI-tools.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Een illustratief voorbeeld is HeyGen, een AI-video generator gevestigd in Los Angeles. Voor een bescheiden abonnement kunnen gebruikers via deze dienst clips maken met AI-avatars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Een van die video's, waarin werd beweerd dat de VS zich bemoeide met de verkiezingen in Bangladesh, circuleerde op sociale mediaplatforms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Omdat deze AI-avatars zo levensecht zijn, glippen ze vaak door de filters van sociale media en reageert het grote publiek mogelijk niet meteen.
