Maar in plaats van die diensten te leveren, besteden ambtenaren vaak veel van hun tijd aan administratie.<\/p>\n<p>Uit het onderzoek bleek dat er elke week wel een dag aan lesgeven verloren gaat omdat leraren proberen hun administratie bij te houden.<\/p>\n<p>Het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken publiceert vandaag een reeks aanbevelingen, waaronder hoe AI kan worden gebruikt om routinematige administratieve taken af te handelen. Deze maatregelen zouden 5 uur per week van de tijd van een leraar kunnen besparen en de politie tot 38 miljoen uur per jaar, of 750.000 uur per week.<\/p>\n<p>Dat staat gelijk aan het toevoegen van 20.000 extra politieagenten aan het korps, simpelweg door AI zaken als gegevensinvoer en rapportage te laten afhandelen.<\/p>\n<p>En het potentieel voor AI in de publieke sector wordt niet alleen gemeten in uren. Deze hulpmiddelen helpen clinici om slachtoffers van een beroerte in de helft van de tijd te behandelen en verdrievoudigen de kans dat een pati\u00ebnt na een beroerte weer zelfstandig kan leven.<\/p>\n<p>Minister van Financi\u00ebn Jeremy Hunt zei: \"Onze ambtenaren behoren tot de beste ter wereld, maar we helpen hen of de belastingbetalers niet als er elke week een dag wordt verspild aan administratie.\"<\/p>\n<p>Hunt zei dat dit probleem zal worden aangepakt door \"de veilige introductie van nieuwe technologie zoals AI.
