Recensenten hebben deze functies \"icky\" (The Verge) en \"creepy\" (Tech Radar) genoemd, wat het ongemak benadrukt van het potentieel van AI om de fotografische waarheid te veranderen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fotobewerking is echter nauwelijks een nieuw concept - AI democratiseert gewoon de vaardigheid en rolt het op in een gemakkelijk toegankelijk pakket.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Niet iedereen is het daar echter mee eens. Andrew Pearsall, een doorgewinterde fotograaf, uitte zijn bezorgdheid door te zeggen: \"E\u00e9n simpele manipulatie, zelfs om esthetische redenen, kan ons op een duister pad brengen.\"\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hij drong er bij zowel professionals als hobbyisten op aan om voorzichtig te werk te gaan en benadrukte: \"Je moet heel voorzichtig zijn met 'Wanneer ga je over de grens? Het is verontrustend dat je nu een foto kunt nemen en iets direct kunt verwijderen met je telefoon. Ik denk dat we op weg zijn naar een soort nepwereld.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De 'nepwereld' waar Pearsall het over heeft, is er een die bezaaid is met gevaarlijke AI-diepe vervalsingen die vari\u00ebren van onschuldige afbeeldingen van de paus in een pufferjack tot <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyai.com\/nl\/2023\/10\/ai-manipulated-content-threatens-election-integrity-but-what-can-we-do\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dreigende vervalsingen van politici<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en gruwelijke geseksualiseerde beelden van minderjarige meisjes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al deze voorbeelden hebben ten minste \u00e9\u00e9n ding gemeen: het bewerkingsproces wordt aangedreven door AI en is uiterst eenvoudig uit te voeren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> AI verlaagt de lat voor desinformatie en volgens sommigen spelen de nieuwe fotobewerkingsfuncties van Google precies in op deze zorgwekkende trend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Isaac Reynolds van Google denkt daar anders over en stelt dat \"functies zoals Best Take niets 'faken'.\" Hij legde uit dat deze tools een \"representatie van een moment\" cre\u00ebren, waarbij afzonderlijke maar toch echte momenten worden samengevoegd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technologie is al stevig ge\u00efntegreerd in de moderne fotografie; zoals professor Rafal Mantiuk van de Universiteit van Cambridge beschrijft: \"Mensen willen niet de werkelijkheid vastleggen...Ze willen mooie beelden vastleggen.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terwijl we zien hoe nep en echt steeds dieper in elkaar verstrengeld raken, blijft de vraag hangen: Wat is nu echt een authentieke foto?
