Het scannen van zo'n boek met een scanner die elke pagina centimeter voor centimeter afleest zou enorm bewerkelijk zijn, waarbij de meeste moeite verloren zou gaan aan het scannen van lege ruimte.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hetzelfde geldt voor experimentele natuurkundigen, met name op het gebied van deeltjesfysica.
