De kwartfinale van Engeland tegen Frankrijk veroorzaakte de grootste piek in misbruik, gevolgd door de finale en Marokko tegen Portugal. Frankrijk was het doelwit van meer misbruik dan elk ander land, vooral racistisch misbruik, gevolgd door Brazili\u00eb en Engeland. Misbruik gericht tegen Brazili\u00eb was meer sektarisch van aard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Het systeem werd gebruikt tijdens AFCON 2021 en de EURO 2020-finale, maar FIFA benadrukte dat hun huidige systeem aanzienlijk geavanceerder is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In een verklaring zei FIFA-voorzitter Gianni Infantino: \"Discriminatie is een criminele daad. Met behulp van deze tool identificeren we de daders en rapporteren we ze aan de autoriteiten, zodat ze worden gestraft voor hun daden. We verwachten ook dat de sociale mediaplatforms hun verantwoordelijkheid nemen en ons steunen in de strijd tegen alle vormen van discriminatie. Ons standpunt is duidelijk: we zeggen nee tegen discriminatie.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/fifpro.org\/en\/supporting-players\/safe-working-environments\/racism-and-discrimination\/fifa-and-fifpro-reaffirm-commitment-to-tackling-online-abuse\">reactie op het rapport<\/a>FIFPRO-voorzitter David Aganzo: \"De cijfers en bevindingen in dit rapport komen niet als een verrassing, maar ze zijn nog steeds zeer zorgwekkend... Voetbal heeft de verantwoordelijkheid om de spelers en andere betrokken groepen rondom hun werkplek te beschermen. Daarom zullen FIFPRO en FIFA hun samenwerking voortzetten... Maar we kunnen dit niet alleen - we hebben alle belanghebbenden nodig om hun steentje bij te dragen als we een veiligere en betere omgeving voor het voetbal willen cre\u00ebren.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FIFA neemt krachtig standpunt in tegen racisme en misbruik<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Uit de analyse bleek dat seksisme of seksueel misbruik goed was voor 13.47%, homofobie voor 12.16% en racisme voor 10.70%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In het rapport staat: \"De reacties van sociale mediabedrijven op misbruik en bedreigingen die op hun platforms werden gepubliceerd, ontwikkelden zich gedurende het toernooi, maar vertoonden nog steeds veel blinde vlekken, met name buiten de Engelstalige inhoud.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\"Er was sprake van veel gericht individueel racisme, waarbij meer dan 300 spelers het doelwit waren en een paar individuele spelers met een hoog profiel een groot deel van het gerichte misbruik in de competitie ontvingen.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Twitter ontving met 13.105 berichten het hoogste aantal meldingen van misbruik, gevolgd door Instagram (5.370), Facebook (979), YouTube (113) en TikTok (69).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Het rapport onderstreept de inzet van FIFA om online misbruik aan te pakken in samenwerking met FIFPRO. Dit heeft geleid tot de oprichting van de Social Media Protection Service (SMPS) in 2020 - een reeks tools die zijn ontworpen om spelers en het publiek bij FIFA-evenementen te beschermen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Om spelers en teams te beschermen heeft FIFA ze toegang gegeven tot moderatiesoftware waarmee beledigende commentaren direct van hun pagina's kunnen worden verwijderd.
