Clifford, die werkzaam is als voorzitter van het Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA) van de overheid, waarschuwde dat de huidige systemen steeds krachtiger worden \"in een steeds hoger tempo\".<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Verschillende soorten risico's met AI<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hij benadrukte de noodzaak om het gebruik van kunstmatige intelligentie op alle niveaus te reguleren en zei dat als de ambtenaren zich niet inspannen om veiligheidsvoorschriften op te stellen, de AI-systemen binnen twee jaar veel krachtiger zullen worden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\"We hebben twee jaar de tijd om een kader op te stellen dat zowel het controleren als het reguleren van deze zeer grote modellen veel beter mogelijk maakt dan nu het geval is,\" aldus de directeur.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> zei Clifford in een interview.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hij voegde er ook aan toe dat AI verschillende soorten risico's met zich meebrengt, waarvan sommige op korte en lange termijn problemen kunnen opleveren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Volgens de adviseur van de AI taskforce heeft AI de potentie om \"recepten te cre\u00ebren voor biowapens\" en om serieuze cyberaanvallen uit te voeren die een bedreiging kunnen vormen voor de mensheid. Als een dergelijke bedreiging, merkte hij op, zou AI te machtig kunnen worden en leiden tot de dood van veel mensen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Het interview vond plaats kort nadat een open brief over de potenti\u00eble risico's van AI was verschenen.
