Als de deal doorgaat, worden Hollywood-zangers en -artiesten tot 2026 beschermd tegen niet-consensuele AI-manipulatie.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Het Uitvoerend Comit\u00e9 van SAG-AFTRA heeft unaniem de <\/span>voorlopig akkoord<\/span><\/a> op woensdag 10 april en zal nu naar de leden worden gestuurd voor ratificatie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SAG-AFTRA vertegenwoordigt een aanzienlijk deel van de creatieve arbeidskrachten in de VS en was betrokken bij de Hollywood slaat toe<\/a> vorig jaar.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De voorlopige overeenkomst loopt van 2021 tot 2026 en omvat Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group en Disney Music Group. Sommige audio-opnames die voor vandaag zijn gemaakt en die teruggaan tot 2021 zullen dus beschermd zijn.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Volgens de voorwaarden van de overeenkomst moet de artiest expliciet en ondubbelzinnig toestemming geven voor het uitbrengen van een geluidsopname met een digitale reproductie van de stem van een artiest.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast schrijft de overeenkomst voor dat de artiest een minimumvergoeding moet krijgen en een gedetailleerde beschrijving van het gebruik van zijn digitaal gereproduceerde stem in een opname.<\/p>\n

Als het wordt goedgekeurd, zal het deel uitmaken van een nieuw contract voor de SAG-AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Sound Recordings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het is belangrijk om op te merken dat terwijl SAG-AFTRA zangers en zangeressen dekt, instrumentale muzikanten onder de SAG-AFTRA vallen. Amerikaanse federatie van muzikanten<\/span><\/span><\/span> (AFM), dus die worden waarschijnlijk niet beschermd door deze deal.<\/p>\n

Muzikanten en artiesten worden geconfronteerd met AI-bedreigingen<\/h2>\n

Muzikanten en artiesten worstelen met de opkomst van AI-gegenereerde tekst-naar-muziek tools zoals Udio en Suno.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suno is al <\/span>blootgesteld voor het genereren van muziek<\/span><\/a> opvallend veel op internationale hits als ABBA's \"Dancing Queen\" en Queen's \"We Will Rock You\". <\/span><\/p>\n

Udio<\/span><\/a> bouwt voort op Suno's toegang, maar ook hier duurde het niet lang voordat nummers zichzelf weggaven als afgeleid van auteursrechtelijk beschermde werken.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De kans is groot dat er duizenden auteursrechtelijk beschermde liedjes zijn gebruikt om deze modellen te trainen. En zoals we <\/span>gezien in de beeldende kunst<\/span><\/a>De makers worden niet geraadpleegd en er wordt geen toestemming gevraagd.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We hebben ook de gevolgen gezien van ongeautoriseerde mash-ups en remixes die zijn gemaakt met door AI gegenereerde kopie\u00ebn van authentieke melodie\u00ebn en zang. <\/span><\/p>\n

Een AI-mash-up van Drake en The Weeknd, geproduceerd door \"Ghost Producer\", heeft miljarden views verzameld op sociale mediaplatforms en was verboden door de Grammy's<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Muzikanten hebben actie ondernomen om hun rechten te beschermen. 200 artiesten, waaronder Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder en Katy Perry, uitten hun bezorgdheid in een <\/span>open brief<\/span><\/a> georganiseerd door de Artists' Rights Alliance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Met deze nieuwe overeenkomst van SAG-AFTRA en platenmaatschappijen zien we de eerste tekenen dat platenmaatschappijen bereid zijn om de rechten van hun artiesten te beschermen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
