Vesuvius Challenge, som startet i fjor, har n\u00e5dd en ny milep\u00e6l etter at en gruppe studenter tolket skriftene fra en forkullet gammel gresk skriftrull.<\/b><\/p>\n

Det dreier seg om Herculaneum-rullene, en samling tekster som opprinnelig ble gravd ut fra en romersk villa i Herculaneum i Italia p\u00e5 1700-tallet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I fjor var Luke Farritor, som studerer informatikk ved University of Nebraska-Lincoln, og Youssef Nader, som tar en doktorgrad i maskinl\u00e6ring ved Freie Universit\u00e4t i Berlin, blant de f\u00f8rste deltakerne som klarte \u00e5 identifisere noen f\u00e5 bokstaver p\u00e5 rullene, og de vant henholdsvis 40 000 og 10 000TP4T i premier.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
