In sostanza, MLPerf \u00e8 una serie di test progettati per misurare la velocit\u00e0 e l'efficienza di hardware, software e servizi di apprendimento automatico (ML).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nvidia, leader mondiale nell'hardware per l'intelligenza artificiale, ha testato una <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/blog\/2023\/06\/27\/generative-ai-debut-mlperf\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cluster di 3.584 GPU H100<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> per sfruttare la loro formidabile velocit\u00e0.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Il cluster, co-sviluppato dalla startup Inflection AI e gestito da CoreWeave, un provider di servizi cloud specializzato in carichi di lavoro basati su GPU, ha completato un benchmark di allenamento basato sul modello GPT-3 in meno di 11 minuti.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In altre parole, il cluster ha addestrato un modello equivalente a GPT-3 con circa 175 miliardi di parametri nello stesso tempo necessario per preparare un caff\u00e8 o portare a spasso il cane. Non sappiamo quanto tempo abbia impiegato OpenAI per addestrare GPT-3, ma sicuramente non sono stati 11 minuti.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Le GPU H100 hanno stabilito record in altri 8 test MLPerf, dimostrando la loro potenza e versatilit\u00e0. Ecco alcuni dei risultati:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Modello linguistico di grandi dimensioni (GPT-3)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 10,9 minuti<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Elaborazione del linguaggio naturale (BERT)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 0,13 minuti (8 secondi)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Raccomandazione (DLRMv2)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 1,61 minuti<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Rilevamento di oggetti, peso massimo (Maschera R-CNN)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 1,47 minuti<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Rilevamento degli oggetti, leggero (RetinaNet)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 1,51 minuti<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Classificazione delle immagini (ResNet-50 v1.5)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 0,18 minuti (11 secondi)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Segmentazione dell'immagine (U-Net 3D)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 0,82 minuti (49 secondi)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Riconoscimento vocale (RNN-T)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: 1,65 minuti<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nell'ultima tornata di benchmark, denominata v3.0, MLPerf ha aggiornato anche il test per i sistemi di raccomandazione, ovvero gli algoritmi che suggeriscono prodotti o servizi agli utenti in base al loro comportamento passato.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Il nuovo test utilizza un set di dati pi\u00f9 ampio e un modello di intelligenza artificiale pi\u00f9 attuale per emulare meglio le sfide affrontate dai fornitori di servizi. Nvidia \u00e8 l'unica azienda a presentare i risultati di questo benchmark.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Analisi comparativa di MLPerf<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mlcommons.org\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MLCommons<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, un consorzio di AI e tecnologia, ha recentemente annunciato i nuovi risultati dei suoi test di benchmarking sull'AI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Il primo round di benchmark \u00e8 stato chiamato v3.0, che valuta l'efficienza dell'addestramento dei modelli di apprendimento automatico.
