Ces informations opportunes peuvent guider les chirurgiens dans leur approche de l'op\u00e9ration chirurgicale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\"Il est imp\u00e9ratif que le sous-type de la tumeur soit connu au moment de l'op\u00e9ration\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Jeroen de Ridder, professeur associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l'UMC Utrecht. \"Ce que nous avons maintenant permis de mani\u00e8re unique, c'est d'effectuer ce diagnostic tr\u00e8s fin, robuste et d\u00e9taill\u00e9 d\u00e8s l'op\u00e9ration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leur syst\u00e8me d'apprentissage profond, baptis\u00e9 Sturgeon, a \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 des tests rigoureux. Lors de certains tests initiaux, l'IA s'est abstenue de poser un diagnostic en raison de donn\u00e9es ambigu\u00ebs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dans l'ensemble, les chercheurs ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 l'efficacit\u00e9 du mod\u00e8le en temps r\u00e9el sur 25 op\u00e9rations chirurgicales, en obtenant un d\u00e9lai de diagnostic rapide de moins de 90 minutes, bien plus rapide que les m\u00e9thodes traditionnelles. 72% des diagnostics \u00e9taient corrects, mais sept n'ont pas atteint le seuil de confiance requis.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alors que le processus de diagnostic standard implique un examen microscopique d'\u00e9chantillons de tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales, le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age g\u00e9n\u00e9tique complet permet d'obtenir des informations plus approfondies. La variabilit\u00e9 au sein de la tumeur, la taille de l'\u00e9chantillon et certaines tumeurs insaisissables peuvent poser des difficult\u00e9s. \u00c0 ce sujet, Marc Pag\u00e8s-Gallego, coauteur d'une \u00e9tude, a expliqu\u00e9 comment ils ont r\u00e9solu ces probl\u00e8mes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Dr Sebastian Brandner, de l'University College London, a comment\u00e9 les aspects pratiques en affirmant que \"la mise en \u0153uvre elle-m\u00eame est moins simple qu'on ne le laisse souvent entendre\".<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si cet outil repr\u00e9sente une avanc\u00e9e significative, il n'en a pas moins ses limites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Dr Cohen a admis que \"nous avons fait des progr\u00e8s, mais pas autant dans le traitement que dans la compr\u00e9hension du profil mol\u00e9culaire des tumeurs\".<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En savoir plus sur l'\u00e9tude<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L'outil innovant \"Sturgeon\" utilise l'apprentissage profond pour am\u00e9liorer la classification perop\u00e9ratoire des tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales, contribuant ainsi \u00e0 une meilleure prise de d\u00e9cision chirurgicale.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le mod\u00e8le est con\u00e7u pour \u00eatre \"ultra-rapide\" dans la classification des types et sous-types de tumeurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>D\u00e9fis :<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> La classification des tumeurs pendant la chirurgie est difficile en raison du temps de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age limit\u00e9 et de la couverture incertaine des donn\u00e9es.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>La solution de Sturgeon :<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ce syst\u00e8me d'apprentissage profond utilise des donn\u00e9es d\u00e9riv\u00e9es de r\u00e9seaux de m\u00e9thylation largement disponibles, qui sont utilis\u00e9s pour \u00e9tablir le profil des tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales. Sturgeon externalise les t\u00e2ches informatiques intensives afin de minimiser les ressources informatiques pendant la chirurgie.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Performance :<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Le mod\u00e8le a donn\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats coh\u00e9rents mais ne tient souvent pas compte de la diversit\u00e9 intratumorale. Il a permis de poser le bon diagnostic dans 72% des tests chirurgicaux.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>D\u00e9veloppement futur :<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Les donn\u00e9es de Sturgeon seront enrichies au fur et \u00e0 mesure de l'acquisition de nouvelles donn\u00e9es, mais les restrictions en mati\u00e8re de partage des donn\u00e9es li\u00e9es \u00e0 la protection de la vie priv\u00e9e compliquent l'apprentissage interinstitutionnel.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Limites :<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> L'une des limites potentielles est la quantit\u00e9 de tissu n\u00e9cessaire. Le mod\u00e8le requiert un \u00e9chantillon d'environ 5 x 5 x 5 mm pour obtenir les meilleurs r\u00e9sultats, mais une quantit\u00e9 suffisante d'ADN a \u00e9t\u00e9 extraite avec succ\u00e8s \u00e0 partir d'\u00e9chantillons plus petits.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Sturgeon, les r\u00e9sultats du diagnostic des tumeurs peuvent \u00eatre obtenus en 90 minutes, ce qui correspond aux d\u00e9lais de la chirurgie.
