Il n'existe pas de test sanguin permettant de diagnostiquer la schizophr\u00e9nie. Les psychiatres \u00e9tablissent donc leur diagnostic en se basant principalement sur les conversations avec le patient et ses proches.<\/p>\n<p>Dans leur exp\u00e9rience, les chercheurs de l'UCL ont demand\u00e9 \u00e0 52 participants de r\u00e9aliser des t\u00e2ches de fluidit\u00e9 verbale. La moiti\u00e9 des participants avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 diagnostiqu\u00e9s schizophr\u00e8nes, l'autre moiti\u00e9 servant de groupe de contr\u00f4le.<\/p>\n<p>Ils disposaient de 5 minutes pour trouver le plus grand nombre possible de mots commen\u00e7ant par la lettre \"p\" ou appartenant \u00e0 la cat\u00e9gorie \"animaux\".<\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont ensuite utilis\u00e9 un mod\u00e8le d'intelligence artificielle pour analyser les r\u00e9ponses et d\u00e9terminer dans quelle mesure les mots propos\u00e9s par les participants \u00e9taient pr\u00e9visibles.<\/p>\n<p>Le mod\u00e8le a \u00e9t\u00e9 entra\u00een\u00e9 sur un grand nombre de textes Internet, ce qui lui donne une bonne id\u00e9e du type de langage auquel on peut s'attendre de la part d'une personne moyenne.<\/p>\n<p>Les participants du groupe t\u00e9moin ont trouv\u00e9 des mots qui correspondaient bien \u00e0 ce que le mod\u00e8le pr\u00e9disait. Les participants atteints de schizophr\u00e9nie ont fait preuve d'une pr\u00e9visibilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite qui a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 diminuer \u00e0 mesure que la gravit\u00e9 de leurs sympt\u00f4mes augmentait.<\/p>\n<p>Notre cerveau apprend les relations entre les souvenirs et les id\u00e9es et les stocke dans ce que les chercheurs appellent des \"cartes cognitives\".
