Source : Shutterstock : Shutterstock.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En s'appuyant sur la puissance des donn\u00e9es, de l'apprentissage automatique (ML) et de la technologie cloud, les experts d\u00e9veloppent des programmes innovants visant \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre les sch\u00e9mas de d\u00e9forestation et \u00e0 fournir des donn\u00e9es exploitables aux d\u00e9cideurs politiques.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L'IA fait d\u00e9sormais partie int\u00e9grante des efforts de conservation \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale, car elle permet aux chercheurs de combiner des donn\u00e9es provenant de capteurs, de cam\u00e9ras et de satellites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.technologyrecord.com\/article\/colombian-environmental-organisations-use-microsoft-ai-technology-to-preserve-amazon-rainforest\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projet Guacamaya<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L'Institut Alexander von Humboldt, une collaboration entre l'Institut Alexander von Humboldt, le Centre de recherche CinfonIA de l'Universit\u00e9 des Andes, l'Instituto Sinchi et l'Institut de recherche de l'Universit\u00e9 des Andes, sont les principaux partenaires de l'initiative. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/research\/group\/ai-for-good-research-lab\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le laboratoire \"AI for Good\" de Microsoft<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce projet vise \u00e0 surveiller la d\u00e9forestation et la biodiversit\u00e9 en Amazonie colombienne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comme le d\u00e9crit Juan Lavista Ferres, vice-pr\u00e9sident et scientifique en chef des donn\u00e9es du laboratoire AI for Good de Microsoft, \"ce projet ne va pas r\u00e9soudre tous les probl\u00e8mes d'Amazon, mais il va en r\u00e9soudre un qui me semble fondamental : vous ne pouvez pas r\u00e9soudre un probl\u00e8me si vous ne pouvez pas le mesurer\".<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Une approche en trois volets<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La capacit\u00e9 de l'IA \u00e0 travailler avec des donn\u00e9es issues de modalit\u00e9s multiples permet aux chercheurs de disposer d'un compte rendu d\u00e9taill\u00e9 de cet environnement vaste et complexe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Par exemple, les donn\u00e9es satellitaires fournissent une macro-analyse de la for\u00eat, y compris les \u00e9v\u00e9nements de d\u00e9forestation, l'exploitation mini\u00e8re ill\u00e9gale et les changements dans l'utilisation des terres.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simultan\u00e9ment, des cam\u00e9ras et des capteurs sur le terrain permettent de suivre l'impact des macrochangements sur la biodiversit\u00e9 locale, comme la perte d'habitat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Voici comment <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le projet Guacamaya combine diff\u00e9rents syst\u00e8mes d'intelligence artificielle :<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9tape 1 : Donn\u00e9es satellitaires pour l'analyse macro-territoriale<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le premier volet du projet Guacamaya consiste \u00e0 exploiter les donn\u00e9es satellitaires fournies par l'Agence europ\u00e9enne pour l'environnement. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.planet.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planet Labs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les donn\u00e9es satellitaires fournissent au projet des images quotidiennes \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution de la for\u00eat amazonienne, ce qui permet une surveillance en temps quasi r\u00e9el.
