Meta hat ein neues KI-Modell namens Nougat entwickelt, das wissenschaftliche Texte zuverl\u00e4ssig in maschinenlesbare Texte umwandeln kann.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Was die Sache noch schwieriger macht, ist die Tatsache, dass viele dieser Forschungsarbeiten schlecht eingescannt sind und die Originale nicht mehr verf\u00fcgbar sind. Nougat, die Abk\u00fcrzung f\u00fcr Neural Optical Understanding for Academic Documents, stellt sich dieser Herausforderung.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anstatt Zeile f\u00fcr Zeile zu scannen, verarbeitet Nougat die gesamte Seite mit einer Variante von Metas Vision Transformer zur Bildanalyse. Nougat ist nicht perfekt, erreicht aber dennoch einen BLEU-Score von \u00fcber 91% und eine Genauigkeit von \u00fcber 96% bei Flie\u00dftext. Der BLEU-Score misst die \u00c4hnlichkeit des maschinell \u00fcbersetzten Textes mit einer Reihe von hochwertigen Referenz\u00fcbersetzungen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bei Formeln und Tabellen schnitt es mit einer Genauigkeit von knapp \u00fcber 75% etwas schlechter ab. Das ist immer noch viel besser als konkurrierende Modelle wie GROBID, die es nur in 11% der F\u00e4lle schaffen, richtig zu liegen.<\/span><\/p>\n
